Morgan and Nick celebrated their modern minimal greenery wedding at Suncadia Resort in Cle Elum Washington.
Sometimes you just get really lucky with the clients that choose you to be their wedding planner/designer. We felt this way when Morgan and Nick hired us, their planning process began about 9 months before their wedding and the first time we met with them and asked them to describe their dream wedding the first words out of their mouths were “SO FUN!” this soon became the running joke at all of our meetings and in all of our emails #TEAMSOFUN became our catch phrase with this couple and it fit them perfectly.
Morgan & Nick wanted a simple and clean modern design, nothing overly fussy. We chose a color palette of whites, greens, gray and blues. Morgan’s bridesmaid’s wore soft gray dresses, and Nick’s side of the party wore Navy. Morgan wanted the florals to be loose and organic. We chose flowers in whites, a bit of mauve tones and hints of blue with lots of greenery. Blue gray silk ribbons finished off the look.
Morgan’s mother, Nancy was also involved in the planning process and between Nancy, Morgan, and Nick, they were an awesome team. We all worked really well together and we have to do a special shout out to Nick because he was on top of all of his duties – sometimes we have to nudge our grooms along but he did everything we needed and more!
Guests were greeted upon check in with gift bags filled with their favorite candy and etched wine glasses. They had an intimate rehearsal dinner at the home where Morgan’s parents were staying at on the Suncadia property followed by a welcome party for their guests with appetizers and drinks on Friday evening.
Saturday morning – the wedding day began with Morgan and her bridesmaids getting ready together, Morgan gifted her bridesmaids with gorgeous robes as they arrived and Salon Maison did a fabulous job of getting everyone ready. Morgan had a very special moment with her mother, Nancy, that morning as Nancy presented Morgan with a card and as she read it there were many tears between the both of them. Morgan did a first look with her father which was very special and then headed to her first look with Nick. Sydney Bae Photography did a lovely job of capturing this lovely couple and their family and wedding party.
Morgan’s uncle performed their ceremony behind The Inn and despite the wind and potential rain the ceremony went wonderfully! They were married under a wooden arbor with lush but simple greenery vines. Their vows were full of love and deep commitment to each other and gave you a glimpse into how incredible their relationship really is.
The cocktail hour got kicked off at the Amphitheater with an open bar, and appetizers. A hand lettered wood and white lettered escort board displayed guests assigned seats accompanied with baskets of cozy blankets to keep guests warm on the chilly night. The guests tables where decorated with greenery vines, candles a birch birch table numbers and slate blue napkins. For the head table decor we added vines, brass taper candles and simple bud vases with anemones and ranunculus which finished off the simple, modern look.
Morgan and Nick entered and did their first dance, followed by dinner and dancing. The Nick and his groomsmen arrived with their ties swapped for brightly colored floral ties to liven up the mood! The Michael Benson Band kept guests dancing all night long and they had such a fun guest group – the dancing didn’t stop until we had to stop due to the noise ordinance! From there guests headed back to The Inn for an after party where they celebrated more! We had such a blast on this special day and it was really fun to see everything come together as we had planned.
